Pencil This In // November

Hello folks.

Just thought I’d check in and give you all a much-needed run down of all the awesome things happening next month as it related to local fashion, arts & markets.

Bits And Pieces for Christmas – November 2nd

Bits & Pieces is a massive market that takes place in the Movie Towne Banquet and Conference Centre. I went last year and it was packed, so be sure to go early to get a great deal on some locally made items. For those of you who’ve been missing Catherine Sun’s French Macarons, they’ll be making their grand return at this market. Also, look forward to seeing the elusive Flower Child Designs on sale.

Dans L’Océan – November 3rd

Dans L’Océan is a must for all Carnival divas and beasts. J. Angelique Clothing will be debuting their MonDiva collection for Carnival 2014, along with some looks for the guys. Check out the preview below.

UpMarket has two November dates (so far). They tend to increase the number of markets per months as we draw closer to Christmas. Great opportunity to grab some unique Christmas presents. Many of the food vendors have already begun creating gift baskets and hampers of their products. Follow the UpMarket Facebook Page to stay informed. Snagged this pic from the ESP jr Page, they’ll be selling at next month’s UpMarket, so be sure to check them out for fantastic baby and toddler items.

The Holistic Market – November 17th

A brand new market on the scene…The Holistic Market promises to showcase a few new vendors (well, to me anyway) in a new setting. Definitely checking this one out and doing my usual live coverage.

Chez Nous – November 17th and November 24th

Another fantastic market experience and one of the first I ever attended: Chez Nous has two November dates at The Verandah restaurant on Rust Street.

Launch of A Bohemian Collective by Sanianitos – November 23rd

I obviously picked the worst possible weekend of the year to go on a hiatus from this rat race called life…because yet another collection launch is happening that weekend. This one is the soul child of Sanianitos…and she’ll be debuting her line called ‘The Goddess’, a selection of (from what I can tell) jewellery, flower crowns and sunglasses for the bohemian in us all. I believe this is by invitation only.

The ‘Yes’ Collection by Van Der Vlugt – November 24th

Brides-to-be take note…Van der Vlugt will be revealing The ‘Yes’ Collection on November 24th at the 101 Art Gallery  on Woodford Street. I’ll be missing this runway but hoping to get some sneak peeks before for my Metro article 😉
